Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will be the subject matter expert on historical motor finance commission arrangements and provide support to a range of teams in the business. Working as part of the Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in ensuring appropriate financial support, insight and rigor is provided with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the project team on key finance requirements, including: data accuracy and completeness, financial calculations and financial insight amongst other key priority requirements
  • Work closely with the complaints and financial ombudsman service (FOS) teams to ensure appropriate financial support is provided in a clear and articulate manner
  • Update Motor leadership team on relevant project matters
  • Work closely with the Financial controller and Head of FP&A to ensure financial reporting and audit requirements are met
  • Support with ad-hoc analysis as and when required and developments are released by the FCA
  • Provide support to other team members and wider Bank team, to ensure successful delivery of the project
  • Provide support to the project team on aspects of finance/accounting and general support
  • Effective management of project risks from a financial perspective
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) 
  • An ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items
  • Evidence of taking ownership and ability to prioritise and deal with a wide range of activities at the same time to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to influence others
  • Advanced MS Office packages, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Motor finance commission arrangements background/knowledge
  • Motor finance industry background/knowledge
