PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Are you in your final year of sixth form or college looking to kick-start your career within financial services?

Our school leaver programme is designed by industry experts to get your career in Wealth Planning off to the best start. Alongside invaluable practical experience, we will provide you with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and qualifications you need to become a Chartered Financial Planner.

This is a structured, 4-year programme, beginning in a Client Service Executive position, and progressing to a Paraplanner positon upon completion of the required exams.

We will provide financial support for exam costs and training workshops, providing both structure and time off to study. You will be supported and paired with an experienced mentor throughout the duration of the programme, and also have access to work shadowing opportunities.

 

Client Service Executive

The role of the Client Service Executive (CSE) is client and adviser service focused. It is the CSE’s responsibility is to ensure client on-boarding and ongoing service queries are managed efficiently and in a timely manner.

  • Accurate and timely client data entry onto CBAM and third party platforms/systems to specified Service Level Agreement
  • Ongoing client communication regarding meetings, arranging appointments, diary management and processing of client queries and instructions - be that directly or by referring to the relevant team, as appropriate
  • Preparing meeting packs, annual review packs and valuations for client appointments
  • Document management - ensure documentation is scanned, saved and archived in accordance with department operating procedures
  • Liaising and working with colleagues within the Practice to ensure success and operational efficiency and profitability

Paraplanner

To support Advisers, and ultimately clients, in the advice giving process with suitability reports, product research and technical analysis.

  • Discuss client objectives with the Adviser during debrief. Identify any shortfalls in client information and discuss with the Adviser.
  • Request and review all necessary information and undertake financial analysis to produce financial reports for discussion with the Adviser.
  • Undertake research to identify suitable solutions to meet the client’s needs.
  • Request and obtain information/comparisons for analysis by the Adviser within agreed timeframes, in addition to application forms and other associated paperwork.
  • Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profile.
  • Prepare draft recommendation reports to be discussed and signed off by the Adviser.

  • Final year in sixth form/college with predicted grade requirements of ABB, or have no more than one year out of formal education having achieved these grade requirements.
